I just saw your comment on this week's poll. I wish I had seen it earlier -- next week's poll will probably focus on what to do to avoid similar problems and your suggestion is spot on.

A slightly belated 4th of July to you! Not enough time to send a greeting out to everyone! I missed everyone on MySpace completely! Feel bad about that! Good gas saving tips too! People can easily get 20 to 40% better mileage, and I'll get better than most of the best put together! I wish I had the money to modify a Prius, Insight or Fusion or even a Charger, Buick Regal Turbo [1987 model mind you] or others the way I'd like to. I'd easily get over 180 mpg out of most of the hybrids.

A $7,500 tax credit going back to individual US taxpayers who purchase the first 200, 000 plug in electric vehicles from a mainstream automaker. That's about $1.5B per automaker (or 6 weeks in Iraq). I think that it is money well spent since we either have to spend money to clean up the air or spend money to reduce the amount of pollution we put into it. Hopefully, we'll do both.

Chrysler puts VW diesels into Calibers and ships them to Europe. Same diesel VW uses here. Go figure.

Past experience with Diesels and studies involving VW diesels indicates that Ford would not sell enough to profit much after expense of certification and re-engineering drivetrains is considered!!!
