Oil prices jump after roller-coaster week

AFP -- Oil: Prices see-sawed this week as traders tracked supply-side worries and concerns over the global demand outlook, but finished with a strong push higher.
Brent spiked above $100 on Monday as Norway’s oil industry appeared headed for a labour lockout in the the world’s eighth biggest crude producer.
The market slumped on Tuesday by more than $2.0 after Norway halted the oil workers’ strike that threatened production, while news of weak Chinese crude imports also stoked demand concerns.
Crude futures then rebounded Wednesday on bargain hunting and as traders digested an upbeat US energy inventories report.
The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said American crude oil inventories slumped by almost 4.7 million barrels in the week ending July 6.

apparently, Pig Oil didn't make enough profits when prices dropped under 2.90/ gal. Back up to 3.20+ now.

They just can't keep the lies straight. A couple of weeks ago oil was going to stockpile while decreased refinery capacity was going to lower distillate inventories.

They look at whats happing in with Iran and that is what they are hoping and speculating on a conflict with Iran and The USA.

They'll be back down soon when people are done with vacations and they're not selling as much, inventories will increase and they will have to move the gas since it has an expiration date. Or something like that... :-)
